PILATUS P.3 PILOT, 1963

Before getting strapped into his almost factory new Pilatus P.3 for an alpine flight from Locarno-Magadino AFB to Sion AFB, a student pilot is revising the emergency procedures contained in his checklist.
He is equipped with a PA-481 cloth helmet ("Stoffhaube") , M1944 goggles, an ELNO LY-1-A laryngophone, a cotton flightsuit model 1950 ("Fliegerkombi 50"), and due to the high altitudes to be reached, an A-14 oxygen mask with supplemental diluter valve, and standard "Ordonnanz" shoes.

Despite not being fire resistent, the Fliegerkombi 50 was used on prop and jet aircraft until the mid-1980's.
