VARIOUS ITEMS 2
We would like to randomly show here (supposed to be :-) interesting old and new items related to Swiss AF pilot equipment not commonly seen. Enjoy!

BOOM MIKE BRACKET

Swiss AF helmets are (except JHMCS) provided with a locally made boom mike installation bracket.

TAPE RECORDERS

Their aircraft not being equipped with CVR's (Cockpit Voice Recorders), Swiss AF pilots provided with small tape recorders ("Dictaphones") connected in parallel to the communication system.
A number of such devices were tested, with two models found capable to withstand a defined amount of "G"s without failures.
The recorders are carried in a holster attached to the anti-G garment by three "pull the dot" buttons - in the earlier models - or velcroed onto the new ones.

"PILOTENTASCHE" -
PILOT BAG

Since the 1940's until today, Swiss AF pilots have been issued with various models of locally made bags called "Effektentaschen" or "Pilotentaschen", in order to carry equipment, maps, navigation aids or personal belongings.

"NAVIGATIONSTASCHE" - NAVIGATION BAG

Another type of bag issued to Swiss AF pilots, in order to carry a complete set of navigation (1:50'000) and obstacles (1:100'000) charts, was the sturdy fabric "Navigationstasche".

The bag issued in two sizes, "small" for the obstacle charts and "big" for the most numerous navigation ones.

"3 PIN" TO MIRAGE III
- AMP CONNECTOR

An interesting adapter, made by coupling an AMP connector with a "3 pin" one.
Considering the available configurations and period, made to use MBU-5 or HA-LP/ PPB configured for BAe Hawk also on Mirage.
